Vedic Horoscope for Escutia, Juan

Mexican national hero, one of the combatants who died at the Battle of Chapultepec in 1847. Little is known about whether or not he belonged to the Military school. Tradition remembers him as one of the heroes who gave their lives to defend the homeland. He died on 13 September 1847 in Mexico City, aged 20. Presumably he was in charge of guarding the tower where the national flag was flying and before the imminent entrance of the invading army to the fortress, he took the Flag of Mexico and wrapped himself in it and jumped onto the hillside in order not to let it fall into the hands of the enemy.Sy Scholfield cites church baptismal record quoted in Los siete rayos by Antonio Velasco Piña (Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial México, 2007): "En esta Santa Iglesia Parroquial de Tepic, el veinte y cinco de febrero de mil ochocientos veinte y siete, el presbítero don Luis de los Ríos, Ministro Interno de esta Parroquia, bautizó solemnemente a Juan Bautista, de tres días de nacido en esta ciudad a las tres y media de la mañana, hijo legítimo de don José Antonio Escutia y doña María Martínez. Abuelos paternos don Mázimo Escutia y doña María Antonia Aguirichu."
