Galician romanticist writer and poet.Sy Scholfield quotes "Rosalía de Castro, poeta incompreendido" by Alberto Machado da Ros, Revista Hispánica Moderna, 20.3 (July 1954), pp. 181-223: "Her baptismal certificate, preserved in the Hospital Real de Santiago, is of February 24, 1836. The year is certainly a slip of the pen for 1837, since all the entries in the book just preceding and just following are of February, 1837... Rosalia's eldest daughter, Dona Alejandra, told the writer in 1928 that her mother was born at four o'clock on the morning of the 24th (Beside the River Star, Berkeley, 1937, pag. 143, note 3.)" (p. 186).
