Vedic Horoscope for Carrera Torres, Francisco
Mexican soldier who participated in the Mexican Revolution. He was the brother of Alberto Carrera Torres. He took up arms against Victoriano Huerta. In 1913 his brother Alberto appointed him interim governor of San Luis Potosí until the arrival of Don Jesús Carranza Garza, who upon his arrival appointed Eulalio Gutierrez as governor of that State. He supported the Convention of Aguascalientes, and fought under Francisco Villa in the battles of Celaya but granted amnesty to the Constitutionalist administration in 1916. After the betrayal of his brother by Álvaro Obregón and his measures taken against the Carrera brothers and the Cedillo brothers (Cleofás Cedillo, Magdaleno Cedillo and Saturnino Cedillo) who were evicted from Tula, his brother decided to leave the armed struggle on 25 December 1915 with the rank of Brigadier General. He gave the command of his troops to his brother Francisco. However, the execution of his brother Alberto Carrera Torres made him take up arms, maintaining himself as an anti-Carranza rebel until 1920, when he joined the Aguaprietista government. This allowed him to eventually become General of division with seniority on 1 February 1930 and Chief of Operations of San Luis Potosí.
