French photographer who invented the use of magnesium for the flash-lamp in photography, and got the gold medal at the 1889 exhibition. He also participated at the Moscow exhibition. He was nominated Knight of the Legion of Honor on 30 December 1891. At the Exposition Universelle of 1900, he was member of the awarding jury. He had a studio at 35 boulevard des Capucines in Paris.
