Vedic Horoscope for Bemelmans, Ludwig

Austria-Hungary-born American writer and illustrator of children's books and an internationally known gourmet. He is known best for the Madeline picture books. Six were published from 1939 to 1961; a seventh was discovered after his death and published posthumously in 1999. He died on October 1, 1962 in new York City.Sy Scholfield quotes him in "My Life in Art‎" by Ludwig Bemelmans (New York: Harper & Brothers, 1958), p. 39: "did I have my birth certificate with me? I said: 'No, I'm not even sure when I was born. It says in my passport April 27, 1898, but my mother said it was at 3 A.M., the last day of April.'"
