Vedic Horoscope for Augusta, Princess of Great Britain
British princess, a granddaughter of George II and only elder sibling of George III. Her father was Frederick, Prince of Wales. On 16 January 1764, Augusta married Charles William Ferdinand, Duke of Brunswick, thus marrying into the ducal house of Brunswick, of which she was already a member. The marriage was purely an arranged political marriage and Augusta and Charles regarded each other with mutual indifference. They had three children. Her daughter Caroline was the wife of George IV. Augusta died on 23 March 1813.Sy Scholfield quotes "The Universal spectator and weekly journal," no. 461 (6 August 1737), p. 1303: "London. On Sunday last . . . her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales, attended by several ladies, set out from thence for St. James's, where they arriv'd about Nine at night; and her Royal Highness's Pains increasing, she was, a little after Eleven o' Clock, safely and happily deliver'd of a Princess."
