Mexican lawyer, military and politician. He was a collaborator of General Salvador Alvarado during the Revolutionary management in Yucatan led it from 1915, when he was sent to the southeast of Mexico by Venustiano Carranza commanded a fraction of the Constitutionalist Army. Arce was later deputy to the local congress of Yucatan and federal deputy twice. He was active in the revolutionary group led by Adolfo de la Huerta and had the fruitless mission to convince the coup leaders led by Juan Ricárdez Broca not to execute Felipe Carrillo Puerto when he was deposed as governor of Yucatan in December 1923 by a group of self-styled delahuertistas and later shot along with some of his brothers on 3 January 1924.
