Understanding House Placements
In Vedic astrology, the house in which a planet is placed has a profound effect on how that planet's energy manifests in your life. Each of the 12 houses represents different areas of life, from self and personality (1st house) to spirituality and liberation (12th house).
The interpretation of a planet in a house also depends significantly on the rising sign (Lagna). The same planet in the same house will give different results for different lagnas because the houses the planet rules change based on the ascendant.

The Nine Grahas
