Greek educator, head of the Platonic Academy of Athens and translator of Ptolemy’s "Tetrabiblios" into Latin. Proclus was the last of the major Greek philosophers, and he was influential in helping Neoplatonic ideas to spread throughout the Byzantine, Islamic and Roman worlds.
