Colombian-Argentine architect and author, known as the son of slain Colombian drug lord Pablo Escobar. He wrote the biography Pablo Escobar: Mi padre (2014) and appeared in the Argentine movie documentary Sins of My Father (2009), which "followed Marroquín as he apologized to the sons of victims his late father ordered assassinated during a decade of terrorizing Colombia during his time as a major drug lord." The film promoted reconciliation and ending hatred.Sy Scholfield quotes from his mother's book, Mrs Escobar: My life with Pablo by Victoria Eugenia Henao (Random House, 2019): "Then came 24 February 1977, and the birth of my first child... I went to school that...morning ... My water broke... We headed to downtown Medellin ... half an hour after we arrived, the baby was born, and by one in the afternoon I was already calling my school friends to give them the news and tell them to come visit me and my new son, Juan Pablo."
