Mexican poet and journalist. Born and raised in the state of Guanajuato, he moved to Mexico City to start his career in art. Unable to enter the Academy of San Carlos, entered the National Preparatory School, where he met many writers as Rafael Solana, Carmen Toscano and Octavio Paz, who would influence much in its subsequent decision. He began to write poetry at an early age, although initially intended to be received as a lawyer; however, when its published his first book of poetry, he devoted himself entirely to writing. As a poet, Huerta, published regularly from 1930 to 1980; on the other hand, as a journalist he worked with about twenty newspapers and magazines, some under his own name and others under their pseudonyms.
