Vedic Horoscope for de Weert, Sebald
Dutch captain and vice-admiral of the Dutch East India Company (known in Dutch as Vereenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie, VOC). He is most widely remembered for accurately plotting the Falkland Islands in 1600. He died in May or June 1603 in Batticaloa, Ceylon (now Sri Lanka).Sy Scholfield quotes "The Dutch Discovery of Japan: The True Story Behind James Clavell's Famous Novel Shogun" by Dirk J. Barreveld (iUniverse, 2001), p. 43: "He is one of the very few crewmembers from who we know the exact date of his birth: May 2, 1567. We even know that he was born at 8 in the morning."
