Vedic Horoscope for Bertrand, Adrien
French novelist and journalist whose short career was punctuated by a series of striking surrealist anti-war novels. He worked as a journalist for Paris midi and L’Homme Libre. He was a pacifist but nonetheless joined the French Army immediately when the First World War began. For 3 months he was engaged in the battle of the frontiers. Late October 1914 a slice of shrapnel tore into his chest damaging his lungs.
