Vedic Horoscope for Augusto, Duke of Coimbra
Portuguese infante (prince), the fifth son of Queen Maria II of Portugal and her King consort Fernando II. Augusto was created Duke of Coimbra and had the additional title Duke of Saxony through his father. He had a career in the Portuguese Army and became general of a division. He died in Lisbon on 26 September 1889, unmarried and without issue. Sy Scholfield quotes from "Resenha das familías titulares e grandes de Portugal, Volume 1" by Albano Anthero da Silveira Pinto and Augusto Romano Sanches de Baêna e Farinha (Visconde) (F.A. da Silva, 1991), p. xxii: "Nasc. no Real Paço das Necessidades a 4 de Novembro de 1847, pela 1 hora e vinte cinco minutos da tarde."
