Vedic Horoscope for Audubon, John James

American ornithologist, naturalist, and painter. He was notable for his expansive studies to document all types of American birds and for his detailed illustrations that depicted the birds in their natural habitats. His major work, a color-plate book entitled The Birds of America (1827–1839), is considered one of the finest ornithological works ever completed. Audubon identified 25 new species.Sy Scholfield cites medical record quoted in Audubon the Naturalist: A History of His Life and Time, Volume 1, by Francis Hobart Herrick (Dover, 1968), pages 53, 56: "To them was born, at Les Cayes, a son, on the twenty-sixth of April, 1785; ... The most interesting references in this historic document are to 'Mlle.Rabin,' whose name occurs no less than seventeen times, beginning May 21, 1784, and closing with the entry for the seventeenth of August, 1785. We learn that the physician spent the nights of April 24 and 25, 1785, at the woman's bedside, and that her child was born on the twenty-sixth day of that month, probably in the morning." Another book, Program of Activities of the Chicago Academy of Sciences (Chicago Academy of Sciences, 1930), page 81, states: "In far-off, dark green and turbulent Haiti, on the morning of April 26, 1785, was born in a great, shuttered plantation house at Les Cayes, the child who was to become John James Audubon." A time of 6 AM is speculative.
