China Southwest A. Flight 4146 (1988)
China Southwest Airlines Flight 4146 was an Ilyushin Il-18 that crashed near Chongqing, China on 18 January 1988 with the loss of all 108 passengers and crew.Rolf Liefeld quotes State Councilor Zhang Jinfu's report on the accident (1988-3-10 (translated): "(...) He told about the January 18, 1988, China Southwest Airlines plane Il 18-222 flight mission Beijing - Chongqing. (...) the unit continuously reported severe shaking of the aircraft. 22:17, the the aircraft finally could not maintain altitude, hit the slope and crashed. 98 passengers and 10 crew on board were all killed."
