Brazil (Republic)
Brazilian First Republic or República Velha ("Old Republic"), officially the Republic of the United States of Brazil, 1889-1930. The República Velha ended with the Brazilian Revolution of 1930 that installed Getúlio Vargas as a new president. Cerca de 3 horas da tarde , chegou ao mesmo edificio o Sr. vereador José do Patrocinio , acompanhado do povo e immediatamente foi votada a seguinte representação . « Exms ... da camara municipal , e , na forma da lei ainda vigente , proclamou como nova forma de governo do Brazil a Republica . ...
