German engineer and entrepreneur, who died on 28 March 1912 in Klotzsche.Sy Scholfield quotes from "160 Jahre Oskar Ludwig Kummer, 1848-1912: Porträt einer herausragenden Dresdner Unternehmerpersönlichkeit" by Harald Müller (TUDpress, 2008), p. 12: "Am 23.August 1848 gegen 17.30 Uhr in der Dresdner Waisenhausstraße 3 als Sohn von Prof. Carl Robert Kummer (1810-1889), Landschaftsmaler und Mitglied der Königlichen Akademie der Künste, sowie dessen Ehefrau Auguste Wilhelmine, geb. Neisse (1821-1904) unter der Taufregister-Nummer 1094 der Kreuzkirchen-Gemeinde geboren, war er unbestreitbar ein „Revolutionskind"."
