French royalty, the third child and youngest son of the future king, Charles X of France, and his wife, Princess Maria Theresa of Savoy. He was stabbed and mortally wounded at the Paris Opera on 13 February 1820 by Louis Pierre Louvel, an anti-royal bonapartist.
